Problem Back Pain

Back pain and in particular chronification is in Germany and other industrial nations one of the most common causes for doctor visits and work incapacity.

Patients with acute, unspecified back pain develop already after a short time a memorization of pain with the consequence, that they avoid certain movements in order to avert pain, thus resulting in motional restriction. Back pain can become chronic if the patient is not treated in good time with appropriate therapeutic measures for maintaining or respectively restoring the movement function. The overestimation of radiologic findings as well as the insufficient evidence with the manifold therapeutic approaches for treating back pain rather aid chronification instead of avoiding it.

Epionics SPINE enables for the first time an analysis of the movement function of a back pain patient in a daily life routine– so-to-speak acting as „eye of the therapist“ on the patient’s back.
